The present work is carried out with the intention of providing a solution to the lack of control of subcontractors that is carried out, specifically in the earthmoving area of a mining company located in the city of Nasca, in which there were many delays in the deadlines agreed with the contracted subcontractor. For this reason, the use of a subcontractor selection tool and tools of the Lean Construction philosophy was proposed to carry out the control in the earthmoving works executed by the mining company, making follow-ups through the Last Planner system, using weekly meetings with the representatives of the subcontractor to verify the percentage of the plan fulfilled. etc. Likewise, the existing restrictions and those that could possibly appear are analyzed, in order to be able to propose the corrective measures that favor free access to work without problems in the aforementioned item. Finally, the results obtained from these follow-ups with the Lean system are compared with those obtained in a similar project executed, in which the follow-up has been carried out in an informal and disorderly manner, obtaining very clearly favorable results with the application of the Lean Construction system on conventional systems.
