The professional proficiency work entitled “Design and Construction of the Support of the Upper Bracing Beam of the Huallaga Bridge Using the PERI Alphakit System“ focused on the development and implementation of an important civil engineering project. The main objective was to successfully design and build the support of the upper strut beam of the Huallaga Bridge, using the innovative Alphakit system from the PERI company. The project was carried out with comprehensive planning that addressed various challenges, from transportation logistics to adverse weather conditions. During execution, extensive training was provided to staff, ongoing risk assessments were carried out and regular inspections were carried out to ensure the safety and quality of the structure. The importance of maintaining detailed records and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in project management was highlighted. Design and construction alternatives were considered, and effective communication between all members of the project team was promoted. Recommendations resulting from the project include the need for comprehensive planning, staff training, continuous risk assessment and a culture of continuous improvement. The importance of effective communication, regulatory updating and consideration of sustainability in future projects was also emphasized. In summary, professional proficiency work demonstrates the importance of planning, training, risk management and continuous improvement in civil engineering projects. Furthermore, it offers valuable recommendations for the successful execution of similar projects in the future.
