This research work was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the durability of concrete when using desalinated water from the Santa María del Mar district in the south of Lima. This project is developed experimentally, so that for the tests on the aggregates and tests on the concrete in the fresh and hardened state, the following NTP, ASTM and NTC standards have been used. With the aforementioned standards, tests were carried out on both fine and coarse aggregate. The setting time, permeability, exposure to sulfates and compression tests of specimens were carried out. As a result, it was obtained that the 210kg/cm2 concrete made with desalinated water presents a slight decrease in resistance compared to the 280kg/cm2 concrete, while the samples made with drinking water had a similar resistance to the made concrete, with desalinated water.
