The exports of refrigerated cargoes face various difficulties, which lead to delays in their delivery at the destination and sometimes to the total loss of the transported product. Some of the main causes of this problem are the scarcity of refrigerated containers, congestion at the Port of Callao, clients not meeting the deadlines for container delivery, and the constant rotation of reefer technicians from shipping companies. This research addressed how to optimize the cold chain management for the export of blueberries to the United States. The objective is to reduce the number of incidents and delays in the transportation of this product and its effects on the organization. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology was used, which, thanks to the interviews conducted with 4 professionals who have involvement and knowledge of the problem, was able to obtain important information about the causes of these incidents. According to the analysis carried out, it was concluded that the incidents in which Maersk Line has implications are in the operational area, in the reefer technicians, and in its clients, in which it can take certain actions to reduce these inconveniences. It was concluded that the most viable option to this problem is to carry out proactive training to prevent delays and incidents in the cold treatment.
