Managing leadership and decision making in a family business is a complex process that involves the unique interplay of family and business dynamics. Leaders in a family business often face the challenge of balancing their roles as family leaders and business leaders. In this context, leadership must balance financial and family interests, and conflict management becomes crucial to maintain harmony and effectiveness. Ultimately, successful leadership in a family business involves understanding and differentiating between the personal and business aspects of the organization. The aim of this paper was to analyze the leadership process in decision making in a family business in the educational sector. The qualitative case study approach was developed through semi-structured interviews with the partners of the company. It is considered that the company should implement a rational model of decision making that allows choosing the best alternative for the benefit of the company, impacting the management, seeking to strengthen the current business model that complements the administrative management of the family business in the educational sector.
