The research focuses on the disaffiliation procedure from the Private Pension System (SPP) in Peru, as regulated by Law No. 28891. It identifies a bureaucratic and complex process, with significant challenges for both affiliates and the Pension Fund Administration (AFP), especially in critical areas such as in-person services and inter-institutional coordination. Historically, strategies such as Kaizen and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) have been adopted to enhance efficiency. However, current approaches still exhibit limitations, highlighting the importance of digitalization. Utilizing Design Thinking tools, the research emphasizes affiliate dissatisfaction and proposes solutions centered on digitalization and operational efficiency. It is underscored that the process has lacked modernization over time, adversely affecting affiliates, particularly in terms of time, and the AFP in terms of image and reputation. Despite these challenges, emerging technological solutions offer opportunities for improvement. In conclusion, a strategy focused on operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience is proposed, utilizing current technologies, in line with AFP objectives, and supported by increasing trends of internet access. The implementation of these solutions promises benefits for both the AFP and the affiliates.
