The general objective of the research was to optimize the supply chain and implement the Supply Chain Management – SCM methodology through the import of liquid argon in the PROINTSAC company as a result of the diagnosis of the problematic situation. To achieve this, tools such as PESTEL, the value chain and a detailed analysis of each of the SCM phases were used, the result of which was to prioritize the optimization of the supply phase. For the development of this research work, the methodology used was the following: The type of research according to its function was qualitative, since primary and secondary sources were consulted for a better understanding; The scope was descriptive and the technique used was the interview. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the implementation of the Supply Chain Management methodology in the company through the analysis and management of the supply chain will generate cost efficiency and will significantly impact the quality of the final product. In addition, the study demonstrated the importance of the improvement proposal since it will generate a competitive advantage over other gas bottling companies in the metalworking sector. Eventually, it is recommended to optimize the other processes in the chain and align them with the company's objectives.
