The present professional sufficiency work focuses on improving the design of post-tensioned anchors for the implementation of anchored walls during the execution of the Aliaga Garden multifamily building project in Magdalena-Lima. For the research, an initial design presented by an external client was analyzed, and suggestions were provided to enhance it. Additionally, the complete procedure of the FHWA methodology is presented. Field data provided by the client was used for the design of the post-tensioned anchors. The initial design of post-tensioned anchors proposed by the client and observations on it are presented. Furthermore, an external stability analysis of the slope is carried out using the anchors, both in the initial design and the final design, using the Slide software. Similarly, a comparative cost analysis is performed between the initial and final anchor designs. This professional sufficiency work aims to demonstrate that the use of the FHWA method in post-tensioned anchor design offers an ideal, safe, and cost-effective design. Finally, improvements in anchor design are presented using tables and graphics to compare the client's design with the proposed final design.
