The objective of this research study is to solve the instability of the slope on the bank of the Chillón River in the Brisas Human Settlement of the Malecón del Chillón in the Comas District, through the design of gabions using the GEO5 software, in this way providing a solution to the residents who reside in the Humano Brisas settlement, since they are affected by the constant flooding of the river that causes landslides or, in the worst case, the destruction of their homes. The statement of the problem that was posed is the following: How can the instability of slopes on the banks of the Chillón River in the Brisas Human Settlement of the Malecón of Chillón in the Comas District be solved? The design of the gabion was carried out through the GEO5 software, for a 4 m high design for the bank of the Chillón River in the AA. HH Brisas of the Malecón del Chillón in the District of Comas, with dimensions according to the regulations for the design of gabions, as well as the data collected from the area and compliance with the stability verifications of both overturning and sliding with respect to the safety factor. The general objective of the research was: to solve the instability of slopes on the banks of the Chillón River in the AA. HH Brisas of the Malecón del Chillón in the Comas District through the design of gabions with the Geo5 software.
