In the framework of this research study, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on the assessment of accounts receivable delinquency in the financial situation of a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MYPE) operating in the service sector. Accounts receivable delinquency can serve as a crucial indicator of a company's financial health, especially in a dynamic and challenging economic context. Throughout our investigation, we meticulously focused on the underlying causes of delinquency, scrutinizing financial records and management practices. Through the collection and analysis of detailed data, we examined customer payment patterns, identified factors contributing to payment delays, and evaluated how these aspects impact the company's liquidity and financial stability. This study specifically centers on the assessment of accounts receivable delinquency in the financial situation of Multiservicios Joluma S.A.C. between 2019 and 2021, based in Chincha. It is important to emphasize that this work not only provides a detailed insight into the financial status of the analyzed company but also offers valuable perspectives for other MYPEs in the service sector facing similar challenges. Our objective is to contribute to a deeper understanding of best practices in accounts receivable management, enabling companies to make informed decisions to enhance their financial health and strengthen their position in the market. To conduct this research, we employed a qualitative approach methodology that included data collection through interviews with experts in the financial and service sectors. This meticulous approach allowed us to obtain precise and relevant information regarding accounts receivable delinquency in the specific context of MYPEs in the service sector.
