A problem in higher education in Peru is presented, addressing the legal, economic, social, cultural, and political context. We highlight the proliferation of for-profit private universities and the creation of SUNEDU in 2014 to oversee and evaluate educational quality. It also focuses on how SUNEDU denied licenses to several universities for not meeting Basic Conditions of Quality (CBC) and emphasizes the importance of an Academic Quality Management System. In Chapter 2, alternatives for addressing the decrease in demand for higher education in Peru are identified, considering theories and quality management models. Three alternatives are proposed: the SINEACE quality model, Six Sigma, and the IAC CINDA Quality Model. The choice of SINEACE is justified by its ability to improve educational quality. Implementation requires financial, human, and training resources, as well as a strong institutional commitment and strategic planning. Chapter 3 analyzes these alternatives in detail, evaluating their feasibility, impact, costs, and justification. The importance of SINEACE accreditation is highlighted as a foundation for future development, which will allow for long-term improvement in educational quality. In summary, the three chapters provide a comprehensive analysis of the educational issue in Peru, suggesting the implementation of the SINEACE quality model as a viable solution to enhance the quality of higher education in the country. Emphasizing the need for institutional commitment and strategic planning to achieve this goal.
