This document constitutes the identification of a problem that covers three countries in the region: Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. The problem is focused on the deficiency of the logistics operation of imports from the mentioned countries in a freight agency. This company is transnational with a presence in more than 170 countries and the objective of our approach is to be able to provide a long-term solution that can generate an improvement in productivity and increase its profitability. This organization is currently one of the leading 3PLs in the world and from what we know, the competition in the third-party logistics market is more powerful every year. Therefore, it is important to take measures that adapt to the changes and innovations that the era of digitalization entails in the field of international logistics. Our main focus in the document is the development of two solution proposals and through a detailed analysis, to be able to identify which alternative is the most appropriate to generate a competitive advantage for the company with respect to other competitors in the national and international market.
