Objective: To determine the factors associated with self-reported asthma relapse in Venezuelan adult immigrants in Peru. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional analytical study of the “Survey Aimed at the Venezuelan Population Residing in the Country“ (ENPOVE, 2018). Crude (RPc) and adjusted (RPa) prevalence ratios for asthma relapse were estimated using Poisson linear regression models with log link function. Results: 290 Venezuelan adult immigrants were included. Among the health characteristics, 17.2% had a relapse of asthma, reporting: not having health insurance (94.8%), not using health services (82.6%), not receiving asthma treatment (87.2%) and having self-medicated (54.7%). Adult Venezuelans using health services (RPa: 2.89; 95%CI: 1.23-6.78) and suffering from overcrowding (RPa:1.92; 95%CI: 1.06-3.45) were found to be more likely to have asthma relapses. Conclusions: Relapse in asthma in Venezuelan patients was associated with overcrowding and the use of health services.
