Currently, there is an interest in analyzing the relationship between work and aspects related to the family, known as “work-family interaction“, which has been the subject of development and research in recent years and is associated with several variables of the work environment. Given the growing interest in this construct, the main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between work-family interaction and job satisfaction. In addition, the aim is to compare possible differences between these variables according to gender. To carry out these analyses, the present study followed a simple correlational design, for which 224 teleoperators (women=60.7%, men=39.3%), parents, were selected from three organizations specialized in call centers operating in Lima Metropolitana, using a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Two scales were applied to the participants: the Work-Family Interaction Scale (SWING) and the Brief Affective Job Satisfaction Scale (BIAJS). The results obtained show the existence of statistically significant, negative and large correlations between job satisfaction and negative work-family interaction (r=-.679, r2 =.46) and job satisfaction and negative family-work interaction (r=-.693, r2 = .48). Likewise, there were statistically significant differences when comparing the positive interaction work-family, family-work and job satisfaction according to gender (p<.001). Additionally, correlation coefficients were compared according to gender using Cohen's q statistic, finding statistically significant differences in favor of the female group.
