The purpose of the research is focused on the design of a model in the production process of a MYPE company in the metalworking sector, that works under the MTO strategy, to increase efficiency in its production process. In the first chapter, the theoretical framework of the investigation was elaborated where the antecedents of the metalworking sector, MYPEs in Peru and the importance of the investigation are detailed, certain concepts, techniques and models that were used throughout the investigation were also defined . In addition, case of study were investigated and a state of the art was made. In the second chapter, the presentation of the company under study was made and it was defined that the main problem lay in a low efficiency which is lower than the objective, based on this the causes of the problem and its economic impact of the same. In the third chapter, a model was designed whose objective is focused on increasing the efficiency of the production process, for which different techniques were designed and developed that counteract each cause such as Standardization of Work, Visual Control Board, Autonomous Maintenance Pillar and the technique Sort and Straighten focused on 5's. In the fourth chapter, the model is validated through Case of Study, its economic validation and evaluation of other impacts of the project.
