In the present study, an exhaustive analysis was carried out and, using the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) methodology with data collected from the National Agrarian Survey (2022), we sought to examine the relationship between access to credit and labor productivity in the Peruvian agricultural context. The results obtained allowed us to establish that access to credit has a positive and statistically significant impact on agricultural labor productivity in the Peruvian rural sector, which would imply that farmers who have access to financial resources tend to be more productive compared to those who do not. They do not access credit. These findings have important implications for both farmers and financial institutions. For farmers, it points out the importance of considering access to credit as a tool to improve their productivity and income; For financial institutions it means that they can adapt their services to meet the financial needs of farmers more effectively.
