In recent decades, asparagus exports from the Ica and La Libertad regions have had an important presence in the U.S. It is worth mentioning that, despite the pandemic, they have managed to maintain and continue at the forefront. Likewise, it is necessary to specify that between January 2018 to December 2022 exports of this vegetable have obtained a total FOB value of US$ 1,928,928,999. Peru is in second place among the main exporting countries with respect to exported quantities with 127,763 tons in 2022 (VERITRADE, 2023). The sustainable certification GlobalG.A.P., has managed to establish itself as a key mechanism to boost the growth of export industries, agri-food markets, especially vegetables that are often more rigorous to acquire a quality product, which have been obtained respecting the environment by developing a fair trade where good agricultural practices are used. On the other hand, a P-value of less than 0.05 was obtained, where there is a positive relationship between sustainable certification and the export of asparagus from the Ica and La Libertad regions to the U.S. It is worth mentioning that the independent variable sustainable certification focuses on three conditions: economic, environmental and social. Likewise, a quantitative research was developed where surveys were conducted with 30 executives of companies dedicated to the agroexport of asparagus, using a Likert scale as a measurement tool. Finally, it was concluded that sustainable certification is related to the export of asparagus from the Ica and La Libertad regions to the USA during the period 2018-2022.
