The retail market in Peru had economic growth despite the uncertain situations in the country. Currently there are two most important groups in the retail sector, Supermercados Peruanos (Plaza Vea, Mass and Vivanda), which has a market share of 36.3%, followed by Cencosud (Wong and Metro), which represents 35.7% of the market. (InfoMarketing, 2023). In this context, this study is framed in companies dedicated to the sale of mass consumption products such as supermarkets. The objective of this study was to explain the influence of the behavior of the leader on the performance of the administrative collaborators of the supermarkets in Metropolitan Lima 2022. A quantitative methodology was used with an explanatory scope, a total of 376 collaborators were surveyed. According to the results, it was found in the first place that the behavior of the leader is significantly associated with the work performance of the administrative collaborators of the supermarkets in Metropolitan Lima 2022, secondly an R2= of 23% was found confirming that the behavior of the leader significantly influences the work performance of the collaborators, the linear regression model of the study Y=45.724+0.2301x, is obtained in this sense it can be deduced that 23% of the work performance is explained from the behavior of the leader.
