Introduction: The constant changes in the work environment highlight factors that have been impacting organizations and their human capital, one of them is stress. Objectives: The objective of this study is to determine the effects of the MBSR program on the perceived stress levels of administrative workers in the mining industry in Lima. Method: The intervention consisted of 8 sessions of 2.5 hours duration. Twenty-six male and female workers participated in this study. This research has a quantitative, pre-experimental approach with a pretest/posttest design with a single group. The adapted version of the Global Perception of Stress Scale was used. Results: It was observed that there is no significant difference for the eustress dimension between pre-test and post-test. On the other hand, a statistically significant decrease in distress was observed between pre-test and post-test. Conclusions: It is concluded that the MBSR program significantly decreases distress and significantly maintains eustress in mining workers.
