This research seeks to demonstrate that the organizational culture of the institutions of Metropolitan Lima impacts the promotion and hiring of women for decision-making positions, taking into account that the organizational culture not only refers to the norms and values of an institution, but also to the leadership that is exercised in it. Studies related to the different situations faced by men and women in the workplace were reviewed, in order to determine those conditions that make the culture of institutions impact the promotion and hiring of women in decision-making positions; one of these was carried out by the UAFSE National Thematic Group for Equal Opportunities called "Gender inequality factors in employment", the case study "Participation of professional women in business directories: Case study Metropolitan Lima, Peru" conducted by Maria Teresa Barrueto; Deloitte studies, including its seventh edition “Women on boards of directors”, and the latest Great Place to Work study “Best Places to Work, Women, Peru 2022”. These studies agreed on the following factors: the norms and values present in organizations, the educational profile of professionals, the impact of leadership, and gender stereotypes. Just as we have cited studies where it is determined how the culture of the region influences the organizational culture of the institutions. The research design is non-experimental descriptive, which consists of the observation and/or evaluation of the chosen variable in a study group to then arrive at new knowledge that is expressed in the conclusion that will indicate the existence or not of a relationship. . The technique used for data collection was surveys, being the one that corresponded to the type of research that we developed and taking into account the study variables. Means of communication, data collection and analysis were used.
