The objective of the present study was to determine the validity and reliability of the Isolation and Loneliness Questionnaire (CAS) in schoolchildren in Metropolitan Lima.) A total of 241 high school students (53.9% female and 46.1% male) between 11 and 17 years of age participated. In addition to the CAS, the Escala de Valoración del Estado Anímico (EVEA) was applied to assess transient emotional states. As part of the results, in the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with a total variance of 48.1% of the two dimensions that were maintained from the original structure (Loneliness = S and Isolation = A), however, the items (2, 3, 11, 12, 20, 23 and 25) were relocated. On the other hand, for convergent validity, correlations between loneliness and isolation with anxiety (S, rs=.451; A, rs =.389), depression (S, rs =.557; A, rs =.472) and hostility (S, rs =.558; A, rs =.508), which were expected because they are positive, significant and with magnitudes between moderate and strong. Finally, for reliability through internal consistency, the omega coefficient was .897 for the S dimension and .929 for the A dimension. It is concluded that the scores of the CAS adaptation are valid and reliable measures of isolation and loneliness in adolescents in Metropolitan Lima.
