Today, the hotel industry sector requires trained human talent to achieve success in the company, this through knowledge, skills, responsibility and soft skills that generate added value to organizations. This is because soft skills in the hotel industry are currently the most important tools in professional life, especially in the reception area, since it allows creating a bond between the client and the worker. For this reason, companies are investing in implementing adequate instruments to evaluate these and thus manage to retain suitable professionals for the sector. However, the information found in various bibliographical sources on the subject is scattered and limited, therefore, the present investigation aims to analyze the importance of soft skills applied to workers in the reception area in the hotel industry in a unique document that allows synthesized and concrete information. This through the review of literature with an integrative approach in which I manage to develop new frameworks and theoretical perspectives. In short, the hotel industry had to continue innovating in terms of the soft skills that workers present after the pandemic. There is no doubt that soft skills are an important factor to improve competitiveness in the different companies that are dedicated to the hotel industry. In conclusion, there is a strong relationship between the aforementioned variables, since they generate benefits for both the company and the consumers.
