As a result, it is found that the organizations that applied the innovation strategies were positive in mainly technology-based companies, compared to other companies that presented greater difficulties in their development. The research establishes that innovation strategies for business models are of vital importance. However, innovation is very difficult to apply in organizations due to the barriers to modify the elements of the BM, as well as the tools that are applied to translate the business into graphs, since these tools can be useful, but they are not enough. to explain the commercial activity grounded to reality in the process of development and solution. At the same time, it is concluded that experimentation is a key point for innovation in companies, since it allows continuous and significant learning by the leaders of the organization. Finally, it also establishes new capabilities to improve results in the application of the innovation strategy for business models as a way to generate sustainable competitive advantage.
