Currently, environmental awareness went from being a movement to being a reality. This is affirmed because, at present, many people worldwide have adopted and established an ideology based on a lifestyle and consumption in favor of environmental care. In fact, such a change was so great that companies and government entities took corrective measures to stop the damage to the environment and, therefore, promote care for it, strengthening and improving the supply of organic food globally. In this sense, Peru was no exception. In fact, a good part of Peruvians adopted an environmentalist-organic behavior, where university students residing in Lima stand out. Therefore, from this, it seeks to determine if there is a relationship between planned behavior and the intention to purchase organic food of university students in Metropolitan Lima in 2022. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the variable planned behavior is made up of six dimensions: personal attitude, subjective norm, conscious control of behaviour, moral aspects, environmental concerns and health concerns. The previously mentioned dimensions and variables served as the base theory for the present work, being the authors of these Švecová and Odehnalová. Therefore, to verify the validity of our research objective, it was determined to use non-experimental methodology of a cross-sectional type and with a correlational scope, where a questionnaire validated by experts was used. As a result of this, it was possible to verify the latent existence of the relationship between the planned behavior and the intention to purchase organic food of the university students of Metropolitan Lima.
