Amazonian representations in animated films in Latin America are rare cases that have been presented in recent years, since Latin American animation has been characterized by being produced in a silence that is hidden behind various obstacles such as high budgets, strenuous processes of work, the lack of recognition of studios and casts by audiences that are largely unaware of the work and development of this slow-growing industry. In this sense, the present research work is an analysis of the existing cultural imaginaries about the Amazon in animated cinema, taking as a unique case, the Peruvian animated feature film Ainbo: La guerrera del Amazonas, being characterized as the only animated film that takes place in an Amazonian context throughout the film and is presented from the perspective of an Amazonian protagonist. Therefore, the present case will be submitted under study, specifically a content analysis to answer the following question: What cultural imaginaries are built on the Amazon in the Peruvian animated film Ainbo: La guerrera del Amazonas?
