In response to the lack of infrastructure dedicated to biodiversity preservation in Puerto Maldonado, this study proposes biophilic design as the approach for the biodiversity research center to be designed. Additionally, it aims to promote sustainability and environmental knowledge by integrating nature into the project. The goal is to foster a stronger connection with the environment through strategies such as incorporating natural elements, maximizing natural light, creating healthy interior spaces, and using local vegetation and materials. The findings will demonstrate the importance of biophilic integration in promoting sustainability and human well-being, providing useful guidelines for the design of the biodiversity research center through components of direct and indirect nature experiences.
