Objective: To describe the level of attitude towards research in Physical Therapy students at a university in Lima-Peru. Methods: An observational, cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out from July to August of the year 2022 at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) in the city of Lima-Peru. 150 Physical Therapy students from UPC were surveyed. The Scale of Attitudes towards Research (EACIN) was used to measure the level of attitude towards research. The covariates were age, sex, academic year, research participation, and previous course of research. Results: Of the 150 study participants, regarding the total attitude towards research, 70% of the students obtained a neutral level, 26.7% a high level and 3.3% a low level. The highest percentage of high attitudes towards research was held by men (30.5% vs 24.1%), the higher the academic year, those who had participated in research as research subjects (32.7% vs 14.3%), those who had taken previous research courses compared to those who were taking courses and these compared to those who had not taken them (42.6%, 35.3% and 8.0%). Conclusion: Most of the students had a neutral level attitude towards research. Older male students who had participated in research and taken research courses had a more positive attitude toward research.
