Empowerment is the taking of responsibility of individuals regarding their actions, it aims to develop the performance and potential of employees as well as the organization. Currently, the role of women has been highlighted, every day, women have an active participation in organizations. The objective of this study was to analyse the positions of female empowerment in the roles and managerial skills of women. A systematic review of the literature related to the subject was carried out, mainly a group of 39 articles within the Q1 and Q2 ranking was studied, the databases used were Scopus, Elsevier, Web of Science. It is concluded that women today have taken a leading role in the social, worked, political and economic spheres, their participation in business management has had a slow but noticeable growth. They have skills such as leadership, being democratic, related, empathic, committed and cooperative when performing their professional role assuming management positions. There is no consensus to determine the level and relationship of female empowerment in managerial roles and skills. Some authors point out that companies are less volatile if they are directed by women, since they obtain better results. On the other hand, there are those that indicate that women are not qualified to perform leadership functions or management positions, limitations attributed to gender gaps and stereotypes that have not allowed women to develop professionally and personally.
