The project is a Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad San Cristobal de Huamanga UNSCH under the concept of “construction of emptiness“ that will reflect the Ayacucho identity and will be reflected in the project with the aim of valuing the art, crafts, traditions, architecture of the Ayacucho region. This project seeks to cover the need for training architects in Ayacucho, as there is a deficit in the region. In addition, these professionals are needed because there is an increase in infrastructure works since 2005, according to the MEF's investment bank. There is also a demand for students because there is no institution offering this career in the region. This project is located in the city of Ayacucho, on the UNSCH campus. According to the university's master plan, the project is located in a strategic location due to its access, area, morphology, and connection to the city. In order to develop the project, the number of users, their characteristics and needs are determined in order to determine the number and types of environments. Each one of these spaces will be shown on the floor plan according to the current regulations for the design of educational spaces and thus define the architectural program. Then, the terrain is analyzed as well as its benefits, landscape and urban characteristics. In conclusion, the project is developed based on all the information given and thus have an architecture that marks a before and after in the architecture of Ayacucho.
