The goal of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the RED – Technostress Questionnaire (RED-TEC) in employees of a Peruvian state-owned company. Thus, an instrumental type design was used, where RED-TEC was applied to 213 public employees aged 19 to 69 years (57.3% men and 42.7% women). As evidence of validity based on internal structure, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed, obtaining acceptable fit indices for the five-factor model (CFI = .918, RMSEA = .0663, SRMR = .0692). In addition, positive statistically significant and moderate magnitude correlations were found between four of the RED-TEC factors and the Occupational Stress Scale (OSS); except for the Skepticism dimension, which presented small magnitudes with the OSS dimensions. Adequate values were obtained for the internal consistency reliability of the RED-TEC (ωu = .80 to .83). In conclusion, it has been shown that the adaptation of the RED – Technostress Questionnaire presents evidence of validity and reliability which supports its use in the study sample.
