The objective of this investigation is to identify the main characteristics that digital natives in the city of Lima look for when applying to a company for employment, linking the factors that promote them within their employability. In addition to analyzing the principles that prevail in companies to attract and retain digital natives, identifying the models that organizations are currently developing and what points must be strengthened to increase engagement in young generations. Our thesis seeks to deepen how digital natives function in a society that has rapidly transformed in information management, knowledge-acquisition opportunities, attitudes, behaviors and the perception of organizational processes and compatibility standards that related to them. Descriptive research with a mixed approach was used, applying an assessment survey to 138 young participants, as well as detailed interviews covering six leadership positions in the management of human factors at recognized companies in the workplace. The results indicated that, in order to become an attractive company for digital natives, it is necessary for organizations to be able to transparently offer employees what they will receive for their effort, commitment and dedication, since a high percentage of respondents indicated that one of the main reasons for staying in the organization is to be able to receive an attractive career path and professional growth in recognition of their contribution within the company. One of the main concepts to take into consideration is is the corporate culture, since digital natives give special importance to the focus on the mission, vision and values of the organization and if these are aligned with the professional vision that they want to project in the future, hoping to locate organizations meeting their expectations, because the more solid the company’s foundations are, the greater their competitive advantage will be and they will stand out in the labor market. It was identified that, for digital natives, the balance between their profession and quality of life is a fundamental priority, showing that a high percentage of those interviewed prefer a hybrid work modality. Finally, in the interviews with experts it was possible to verify that, effectively, their organizations promote more frequently the power to provide benefits that favor the harmony that each collaborator seeks and thus strengthen the labor relationship.
