Faced with the great environmental impact generated by the search for materials for the preparation of asphalt binders, techniques have been developed to incorporate recycled components into the asphalt mix. These have been welcomed in countries such as Spain, Mexico and Colombia, where the incorporation of rubber, recycled asphalt binder (RAP), plastics, among other materials, is promoted; however, our study proposes for the first time at the national level the incorporation of RAP and rubber grains in a percentage of 3% to 5% of the total weight of the aggregates, through the dry method; in this sense, the central objective of our research is to analyze the volumetric properties of this asphalt mixture, based on the parameters established in the MTC-EG 2013 Highway Manual. Resulting from laboratory tests, that the recycled components incorporated are compatible and improve the percentages of voids, stability, flow, among other benefits, thus complying with the standards established in the aforementioned regulations. Finally, our study aims to contribute from civil engineering to the promotion and development of a sustainable road infrastructure, which reduces its production costs, granting it a longer useful life.
