The following work aims to understand the factors that influence satisfaction and dissatisfaction with democracy in the Peruvian case, in general; and in the light of the general election results of 2016 from the perspective of the political parties that passed to the second round of elections, Peruanos por el Kambio -winning political party- and Fuerza Popular -the losing political party. Likewise, the study has also addressed the analysis of the incidence of satisfaction with democracy as a factor that influences the vote of Peruvians. For the study of the phenomenon, the research has been conducted from the quantitative methodology, focusing on empirical evidence, whose information base is the citizen perceptions collected in the opinion survey conducted by the Institute of Public Opinion of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in October 2016. Regarding the results, it is explained which are the main variables that influence the satisfaction with the democracy of the respondents and also in the dissatisfaction that they feel with the political system; Likewise, there are significant differences between the factors that affect satisfaction with democracy among the voters of each political group that went to the second election and, finally, it was determined whether satisfaction with democracy is an influential variable or not in the behavior of the vote of the Peruvians in this last presidential general electoral process.
