In the following thesis work, its scope is to explain the operation of network traffic control based on the Software Defined Network architecture. Which allows today's companies to control LAN network traffic in a simplified way and less complex for Network Administrators. In the first chapter, the initial points for the presentation of the project are presented. Such as the target organization and field of action, the problematic situation to be resolved. Likewise, the approach of the general and specific objective with its respective indicator of achievement. Also the justification and background of the project. In the second chapter, the technologies related to the research topic of the project are described. Achieving detailing all the information resources used to carry out the tests, evaluations, and the approach of the operation design of a controlled LAN network. In the third chapter, the identified problem is detailed, showing evidence, impact and case situations for a better analysis. Therefore, the necessary requirements will be defined to carry out the design of the solution to cover all the identified problems. In the fourth chapter, the design of the network control system based on a Software Defined Network architecture begins, which will describe the details of the specifications and configuration of each resource involved to achieve the requirements set forth in chapter 3. Finally, the fifth chapter will carry out the validation of each test that meets the achievement indicators set out in chapter 1.
