During the last 15 years, non-traditional exports from the Loreto region have had an interesting behavior, especially ornamental fish exports to different markets, specifically to the Asian continent. This had been generating large profits for exporting businessmen as well as several jobs. According to TradeMap, Peru is among the top 20 countries in the world that export ornamental fish, it is from the Loreto region where these species, so requested by Asian, European and North American countries, are bred and captured. However, in recent years as a result of the pandemic and other external factors such as informality and the global crisis, this sector has been affected, causing many companies to close their operations. The purpose of this thesis is to study and observe how the functional barriers faced by exporting companies of ornamental fish are related to the exportable supply of the same companies dedicated to this business between the years 2009 - 2021. Taking as variables the "barriers functional" that cover the areas of HR, production and finance and on the other hand the "exportable offer" that includes management capacity, economic-financial capacity and physical capacity. Interviews were conducted with experts in the field to learn about the current diagnosis of the field and the organizations involved. For the development of the work, a quantitative study technique with a descriptive correlational design was used. Likewise, to collect quantitative information, a closed Likert-scale survey was prepared, which was applied to 15 current companies that constantly export ornamental fish, these were developed by the owners or administrators of these. Then the data was processed in the SPSS and it was possible to reach the conclusion that there is a relationship between these two variables. Companies in the sector must have the areas of human resources, finance and production correctly established in order to continue competing and selling in international markets.
