Since the declaration of the pandemic due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the number of common pots increased in Peru, which is why the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima focused the “ Manos a la Olla “ Program in the care of pots Metropolitan Lima, achieving until June 2022 only 42% of the registered pots. In this sense, the following questions arose: What is the impact of the Manos a la Olla Program and how does it contribute to reducing the problem of hunger through the attention of common pots in Metropolitan Lima? And based on this diagnosis, address the following question: How to increase the number of pots served by the Program Manos a la Olla of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima? To do this, interviews were conducted with representatives of the Program, leaders of some common pots and donors, noting that the Program has achieved a favorable impact on the common pots; however, it is necessary to implement certain opportunities for improvement, from the duplicity in the registration of common pots, the weak communication actions, lack of logistics service that is scarce for the magnitude of the Program; lack of dedicated staff; and, although there is a tax benefit for donors, greater dissemination of it is required. This research allowed us to identify the impact of the Program on the development of common pots and the opportunities for improvement that will contribute to increasing the number of pots served.
