At the end of the 1940s, there was a disproportionate migration from the countryside to the city of Lima. In conjunction, there was a rapid industrial growth, but with less planning. One of the consequences arose from the migration was the lack of green areas and recreation, as well as a place for the practice, promotion and development of art and culture. For this reason, many people who dedicated their lives to art were forced to use the streets and open spaces in order to show their talents. Street dance, hip-hop, graffiti, urban theater, sculpture, circus acts, street music, muralism, and many other artistic practices were and still are performed on public roads. In view of this, there is an actual movement to create a community for cultural projects focused on urban art in order to provide space for these activities. However, in Lima, there is only one cultural point in the most populated district, San Juan de Lurigancho. Thus, this research project aims to create a community cultural center of urban art using blurring architecture, which proposes a flexible build that will interact with the urban context.
