Gender violence is a social problem based on gender inequality that takes different forms of abuse such as physical, sexual, economic abuse, and includes acts such as sexual harassment, threats, coercion, among others. Statistics mention that women find themselves with limited coping options, which ends up perpetuating violence and the negative consequences in different areas of life. Therefore, this research aims to carry out a systematic review of studies that have described coping strategies in women over 18 years of age who are victims of gender violence in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The selection of the studies was made considering articles with quantitative methodology published between 2019 and 2022, in English and/or Spanish. Obtaining a total of three articles for the systematic review. The results indicate that women are more susceptible to use coping strategies focused on emotion, which, in the long term, do not reduce the risk of suffering violence. In the same way, it is evident that they use, to a lesser extent, strategies focused on directly altering the problem. In this sense, it is important to provide women with greater environmental resources that allow them to make use of strategies directed at the problem and that provide them with greater well-being in the long term.
