The hotel companies have impacts on their environment, so poor environmental management can greatly contribute to causing damage to the environment. Despite the multiple benefits that the implementation of actions that minimize environmental damage can bring, it can be easily seen on a day-to-day basis that relatively few companies in the hotel sector have a commitment to the environment. Currently there is knowledge available in various academic sources on the proper management of environmental impacts that the hotel sector carries out, which needs to be integrated and analyzed in a single document. Therefore, the objective of this research is to identify the actions applied by companies in the hotel industry to adequately manage the environmental impacts that they themselves generate. For this, the literature review methodology with an integrative approach was used, carrying out a critical review of the available literature. The types of technologies, processes, among other tools that are required to be able to adequately manage the environmental impacts caused by the hotel sector are established. With all this, the research concludes that the identification of the environmental impacts caused by companies in this sector is of the utmost importance in order to manage them properly. Its application is very beneficial for companies in the field despite the administrative and financial difficulties and uncertainties of all kinds that it may imply.
