At present, the business sector with the greatest deficit in terms of access to external financing sources is the medium-sized companies, since this group does not have sufficient financial products or programs to allow it to continue to "sophisticate" and increase the funding required to grow or consolidate its operations. This is in contrast to the micro and small business sector, which at the banking level has a credit offer that allows it to continue growing, and particularly the large business and corporate sector, which due to its size and management (with a higher level of professionalization) "normally" has access to bank financing, and is eventually prepared to venture into the stock market. In this regard, the possibility for this type of (medium-sized) companies to list on the Lima Stock Exchange is virtually null, due to the fact that, on average, their scale, experience and management level do not match the requirements of the local capital market. Thus, in order to make up for the previous limitation, the Alternative Stock Market (MAV) was created, which has fewer requirements and greater flexibility. Despite this, only 11 companies are registered, none of which are in the manufacturing sector, which is one of the main engines of growth for the national economy. Due to the above considerations, the present study takes medium-sized companies in the manufacturing sector as the study group. The main objective of this research is to determine the variables that influence the participation of medium-sized manufacturing companies in the MAV in the Department of Lima in 2022. Based on previous studies, the variables used to determine their level of influence on the participation of this market are dissemination of information, effective cost and loss of confidentiality. The results obtained from the application of the instrument indicate the variables mentioned influence the participation of these companies in the MAV, but in different magnitude and form.
