The purpose of this study is to explain the influence of the benefits of social networks on the business competitiveness of SMEs in the textile and clothing sector of the “Top 10,000” of Metropolitan Lima, 2020-2021. The scope of this research is explanatory (causal), with a mixed approach and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The instrument used was extracted from previous research directly related to the variables of benefit of social networks and business competitiveness. The information gathering was carried out through interviews with experts and Likert-type surveys directed at those responsible for SMEs in the chosen sector. This study was carried out in a sample of 76 SMEs from the textile and clothing sector of the Top 10,000 of Metropolitan Lima. The results obtained show that there is a positive influence between the benefits of social networks and business competitiveness. However, the degrees of influence that the dimensions of the present study have differ from those indicated by other authors. This finding leaves room open for future research to delve into the reasons why this sector has a different level of reaction compared to other sectors.
