The objective of this research is to determine if the Communal Banking/Group Loan is related to the business development of microentrepreneurs in South Metropolitan Lima. The theoretical foundation of this research is made up of the determinants of communal banking, which are the joint and several liability scheme according to Samant et al. (2019) and Siregar and Handri (2017), trainings according to Samant et al. (2019) and the level of cooperation between the members of the communal banking system according to Samant et al. (2019) and Siregar and Handri (2017). Likewise, a quantitative approach with an explanatory and non-experimental scope is presented. To obtain the information, surveys were applied to microentrepreneurs located in the southern zone of Metropolitan Lima. The collected data was processed and analyzed in SPSS version 25, in order to determine the veracity of the general and specific hypotheses through the normality and Chi Square tests. In addition, the results of the surveys of microentrepreneurs are shown to deepen and cover as far as possible the understanding of village banking and its relationship in the business development of the mypes of the Southern Cone of Metropolitan Lima. In order to collect information about the Communal Bank, consultations were made with the advisors and heads of cooperatives that provide group loans such as COOPAC Together, COOPAC Kori and Surgir Microfinanzas, given that free access information is limited.
