Colegio Especial + Centro de desarrollo y tratamiento para personas con discapacidad mental en ATE

Abstract

En los últimos años, se ha podido observar como la preocupación por el grupo de personas que presentan algún tipo de discapacidad o vulnerabilidad ha ido en aumento, planteándose este tema en varios aspectos y situaciones, por lo que los sectores educativos y de salud, no han sido ajenos a esto. Hoy en día, varias tipologías arquitectónicas están optando por lograr que los proyectos resulten ser accesibles para todos, eliminando así barreras físicas y sociales. Por este motivo, la finalidad de este estudio es plantear y hacer notar que las personas con discapacidad mental, en este caso, Síndrome Down y Autismo, no necesitan acoplarse a un lugar, si no que el lugar debe estar hecho en base a las necesidades que ellos requieren para que pueda darse su pleno desarrollo. La solución arquitectónica planteada, se encuentra basada en una investigación realizada junto con estudios y análisis, teniendo en consideración diversos factores como, las dificultades y necesidades que presenta el usuario y en como su entorno construido puede ayudar a la mejora y al desarrollo de sus capacidades. Los criterios de diseño junto con la arquitectura sensorial, hacen que el proyecto responda a lo que el usuario necesita para poder tener un desarrollo óptimo. El proyecto se basa en un eje central, el cual funciona como un gran espacio de transición, que distribuye al Centro Educativo y al Centro de Desarrollo y Tratamiento, dándose así en el recorrido, como en todo el proyecto, la relación interior – exterior.

Over the past few years, it has been observed how the concern for the group of people who have some type of disability or vulnerability has been increasing, raising this issue in several aspects and situations, so the educational and health sectors have not been oblivious to this. Today, several architectural typologies are choosing to make projects accessible to all, thus eliminating physical and social barriers. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to raise and note that people with mental disabilities, in this case, Down Syndrome and Autism, do not need to fit into a place, but that the place must be made based on the needs they require so that their full development can occur. The proposed architectural solution is based on research carried out together with studies and analysis, taking into consideration various factors such as the difficulties and needs presented by the user and how their built environment can help the improvement and development of their capabilities. The design criteria together with the sensory architecture, make the project respond to what the user needs to be able to have an optimal development. The project is based on a central axis, which functions as a large transition space, which distributes to the Educational Center and the Development and Treatment Center, thus giving in the route, as in the whole project, the interior-exterior relationship.
