Introduction: Workers were asked to have adequate prevention practices to deal with COVID-19 in the work environment, but the influence of their knowledge and attitudes towards the disease has not yet been measured. Objective: To analyze the association between knowledge, attitudes, and prevention practices of COVID-19 in workers from various sectors who attended their workplaces in person during the context of the third wave that occurred in Peru at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. Methodology: Cross-sectional analytical study that was carried out through two validated instruments that measured knowledge, attitudes and practices, as well as other important variables. Results: Of the 401 workers surveyed, 54.1% were women. In the multivariate analysis, there were more appropriate practices in workers with positive attitudes (RPa: 1.78; IC: 1.40-2.25; p<0.001), among workers in the industrial sector (RPa: 1.45; IC: 1.15-1.82; p=0.002) and social protection (RPa: 1.55; IC: 1.25-1.91; p=0.001), as well as at an older age (RPa: 1.02; CI: 1.01-1.03, p<0.001). There was a higher prevalence of inappropriate practices in male workers (RPa: 0.75; CI: 0.57-0.98; p=0.037) and among obese workers (PRa: 0.47; CI: 0.33- 0.66, p<0.001). Conclusions: The great influence that workers' attitudes have in carrying out adequate prevention practices is verified, so their predisposition must be improved through interruptions coordinated with occupational medicine. Likewise, focus efforts on young adults, the obese, and male workers.
