In Peru, children in need of medical assistance for cancer treatment must travel to Lima, which has the largest number of clinical oncologists; a large percentage of children do not have the financial means to stay in the capital. From this need arose a shelter for children with cancer and their families coming from the interior of the country; therefore, the purpose of this work is to offer a place to stay for children diagnosed with cancer who receive treatment at the National Institute of Children's Health - San Borja. Given the need that a child requires and the delicate state of health, the design criteria were defined from the typology; what would be a shelter, to the identification of spaces that promote emotional and physical recovery, with an emphasis concerning intermediate spaces that promote better constructive solutions. Therefore, this shelter for children with cancer and their families in the province aims to be a social and architectural contribution to children with cancer who do not have the necessary support to carry their treatment outside their place of origin, and even more so if they are of limited resources.
