The medical internship year is a crucial period for every medical student since it allows us to put into practice our knowledge and skills learned throughout our career. It also represents a year where we establish direct contact with patients and the organization of the health system of our country, which allows us to understand the importance of the medic in society and develop a critical view of the strengths and opportunities for improvement of medicine in Peru. The present work consists of a compilation of 30 clinical cases from which I obtained significant learning. These cases were extracted from my rotation in the Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics and Emergency Departments of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital. Objective: to describe and make a critical analysis of the clinical cases to which I was exposed as a medical intern and which contributed to my training with significant learning. Methodology: descriptive and analytical work of the clinical experience obtained during the medical internship. Main results or findings: describe the number of cases, with descriptive statistical analysis tools. Summarize the most relevant significant learnings obtained. Conclusions: After my experience as an intern at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, I was able to take valuable learning, about the diagnosis and management of different pathologies, as well as the treatment of patients. I believe that the development of interpersonal skills and empathy are key to achieving an adequate doctor-patient relationship that facilitates treatment compliance.
