In this thesis, steel slag and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) were investigated as possible replacements for fine aggregate in different percentages for the elaboration of non-bearing concrete blocks; Thus, giving an alternative to improve waste management in the Ica-Peru province. For this research, analysis of the physical properties, chemical properties as well as possible uses of steel slag and PET were carried out, taking as reference previous national and international investigations. In addition, 4 dosages were proposed; One standard dose and three doses with steel slag and PET. Through tests carried out on 48 non-bearing blocks, this thesis seeks to obtain results that allow identifying the evolution in the behavior of the blocks when incorporating recycled materials in the concrete mixtures. Finally, an economic and environmental analysis was carried out to verify the feasibility of using these materials as a possible replacement for fine aggregate in the production of non-bearing blocks, also taking into consideration the advantages they offer when included in these.
