The purpose of this research is to establish the relationship between the capacity for associativity and competitiveness in cocoa producers in the Amazon region in 2019. Applied research was carried out at a correlational level, the sample being a total of 159 producers. For data collection, a survey was used a questionnaire as an instrument. Thus, the Spearman correlation test was also applied to respond to the objectives and hypotheses. It was evidenced that 51.6% of cocoa producers had been exporting from 1 to 5 years, presented high associativity (56%) and competitiveness (58.5%) and in the same way in the dimensions of each variable. Also, a weak direct significant relationship was observed between associativity (p-value<0.001, r of Spearman =+0.440), leadership (p-value<0.001, r of Spearman =+0.317), organizational participation (p-value<0.001, r of Spearman =+0.457), cooperation (p-value<0.001, r of Spearman =+0.329) and confidence (p-value<0.001, r of Spearman =+0.324) with competitiveness in exporting producers. By way of conclusion, it can be said that there is a relationship between the capacity for associativity and competitiveness of people dedicated to the production and export of cocoa from the Amazon region in 2019.
