Well-being and job satisfaction are fundamental elements in the success of restaurants, since they determine the way in which employees perform their daily functions within the establishment. In some cases, work environments are hostile, not very encouraging and disinterested in the human talent they have. There are several academic publications that indicate the reality of the gastronomic industry with respect to the labor welfare of its collaborators, establishing factors that influence on their work performance. The research methodology used is qualitative, based on a literature review with an integrative approach, allowing a synthesis and analysis of the knowledge of the subject from research by different authors. Finally, it was concluded that the well-being at work of restaurant workers is affected by negative factors such as: shouting commands, verbal and physical aggression while performing their work and long working hours, all mentioned under a hot and reduced environment. Likewise, it was determined that the authors who were part of the literature review emphasize the negative factors. The research work was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the work environment of the collaborators in the gastronomic area and with the information obtained to provide a basis to help improve the current working conditions.
