This project consists of an analysis of the “Technical Food Guide for Older Adults“ developed by the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP). This research was born as a result of the discrepancy between the levels of interest of the population for healthy eating, and the high numbers of overweight and obesity in the country, especially in older adults, who despite being part of the vulnerable population , are the least informed about how to eat healthily. Based on a user's study, through surveys and interviews, it was determined that the current guide offered by the MIMP is difficult to read and understand, as well as visually unappealing for older adults, which reduces their motivation to read the guide. This is due to the large amount of written information, as well as a generic use of images and visual complements. Faced with this problem, the graphic optimization of the food guide aimed at older adults is proposed as a solution. This proposal was made through the construction of a new layout for the pages of the guide, defining both a typographic and color palette, and the design of illustrations that, together with the textual information, clarify the content of the material. Through the validations carried out with the users, it was verified that the main objective of promoting the reception of the information that the guide seeks to transmit was advanced, having a good reception and developing a great interest in the users.
